Tara Murracas is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) who has been supporting children, teens, and young adults in community, school, and mental health settings for over 15 years. She brings warmth and a trauma-informed approach to her work, and clients often describe her as down to earth and relatable — particularly children and teens who can be harder to reach. Tara provides counselling for individuals experiencing attachment challenges, PTSD and complex trauma, burnout, depression, anxiety, and relationship difficulties. She is passionate about supporting clients across the lifespan — whether you are a child, teen, adult, couple, or family — by creating a space where you feel heard, valued, and supported. Her approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and grounded in social justice, recognizing how systemic inequalities can impact mental health and well-being. Tara integrates elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Gottman-informed approaches into her counselling practice.
Outside of counselling, Tara enjoys walking the seawall, soaking up the sun, and spending time with her young family.
