Amie Anderson Counselling

Life is hard, we got you!

Life is hard, we got you!Life is hard, we got you!Life is hard, we got you!

Lia Bishop, MSW

Lia Bishop is a Registered Social Worker offering empathetic, compassionate counselling in Abbotsford and online across British Columbia. Her work is grounded in anti-oppressive and trauma-informed practice, and she takes a deeply relational approach guided by curiosity, respect, and each client’s lived experience. Lia supports teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, substance use, and challenges related to belonging and relationships. She is attentive to how identity, culture, and systemic factors shape mental health and healing. With over 10 years of experience in community development and frontline work with vulnerable populations and survivors, Lia brings a strong social justice lens to her clinical practice. She has also worked as a university instructor and research associate on projects related to food insecurity, residential school survivors, unhoused populations, and mental health service delivery. Lia is committed to creating therapy spaces that feel safe, affirming, and collaborative, where clients can explore their experiences at their own pace and move toward meaningful change.
