Donya has worked in the field of mental health for the past 12 years and has a variety of experience working with individuals and families struggling with substance use, parent-teen conflict, family dynamics, and with older adults suffering from cognitive decline. Donya practices in Dialectic Behavioural therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFBT), Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) strategies. She currently works for a public health authority in addition to private practice counselling and is an approved mental health provider with the First Nations Health Authority. Donya loves to spend her time with her toddler and partner; on most days you can find them either in the forest or by the water.
